Angel Radio broadcasts music and memories from the years 1900 - 1959 and is produced for an older audience. Most of our 80 staff are aged over 55. Angel Radio is the UK's first and finest nostalgia radio station. We provide three different services - Angel Radio (Havant) on 101.1 fm and at www.angelradio.co.uk Angel Radio Speech+ at www.angelradio.co.uk Angel Radio (Isle of Wight) on 91.5 fm Angel Radio's programming is on air 24 hours a day 7 days a week and is a haven for all lovers of nostalgia. We have found that many of the thousands of people who tune in to our nostalgia based programmes every day have memories brought back, which have been buried for many years. These memories (most often good ones) have a theraputic effect as they bubble to the surface of consciousness again. Reminiscence Therapy is great for everybody, but especially good for people with Alzheimers, or other types of brain dysfunction. Apart from the 120,000 vintage records in our library we have a nice collection of newspapers, postcards, sheet music, ration books, cigarette cards, magazines and household items too. We thought that a look at some of these items might bring some of your own memories to light. Most of the items are for sale, the proceeds go to help keep Angel Radio on air.
